Youthful Brain Review Summary
Vitality Now might have tried to make this stack look like a cutting-edge, market-leading nootropic, but it isn’t. It’s just another cheap, small, over-stretched proprietary blend masquerading as a proper, modern brain supplement. We’ve explained time and again why you should avoid proprietary blends altogether, although it should be pretty self-evident. There’s no good reason to use them; they’re almost always used to hide how bad the formula is in reality.
Youthful Brain has clearly been named in an attempt to convince older people that it is an effective nootropic for them. That’s not normally a good sign, and having looked at the formula, it’s clear that Youthful Brain is any different. Much better nootropics are available regardless of what you are looking to achieve.
Where To Buy Youthful Brain
Youthful Brain is sold through the Vitality Now website, which looks pretty legit.

Full Vitality Now Youthful Brain Review
You’d be forgiven for having never heard of Vitality Now before this post. While they have actually been around for some time now (we think), they’ve never really made serious waves in the industry. They currently produce four supplements: Essential Sunshine (a vitamin D supplement), Health Armor (an immuno-booster), Ancient Relief (a joint care stack), and of course, Youthful Brain (a nootropic).
So what is Youthful Brain supposed to do exactly?
Who is it designed for?
From the name it seems likely that this product is marketed towards older people beginning to show signs of cognitive decline, short-term memory loss, and so on. It isn’t one of those scam Alzheimer’s cures that are criminally allowed to exist; it makes no concrete claims about “reversing brain ageing” or anything like that. It’s name merely suggests that it helps preserve brain function into old age.
Indeed, if we look at the Vitality Now Youthful Brain website, we see the following:
We can’t say that we’re particularly pleased to see the old “doctor’s promise” angle being used here, but it’s nowhere near as scammy as many other products on the market right now.
Youthful Brain claims to deliver the following specific benefits:
- Greater mental clarity
- Improved memory function
- More mental energy
This all sounds very good. While there are some total rip-off brain pills out there, it is perfectly possible for people to experience enhanced cognitive function through targeted supplementation.
Quality nootropics can help protect against cognitive decline, and the very best can help you stay sharp, focused, and firing on all cylinders well into old age.
The question is, is Youthful Brain one of these supplements?
Or is it just another rip-off brain supplement?
Is it safe? What are the main side effect risks?
How does it compare to the likes of Mind Lab Pro or Performance Lab Mind?
Find out by reading our full Youthful Brain review below. We begin by holding the formula under the microscope to see if the ingredients are backed by the latest scientific evidence. We discuss the side effects, and how the product stacks up next to the best brain supplements on the market today. If you have any questions, please post them in the comments section at the end and we’ll get back to you asap.
Vitality Now Youthful Brain Formula Analysis
Let’s take a look at the Youthful Brain formula:
Those of you who have some experience with nootropic supplements will know why this isn’t a very good formula.
And our regular readers will know why we’re not keen on it at all.
We’re going to skip the usual benefits/negatives sections, because we’re so irritated by the lack of transparency here.
TINY PROPRIETARY BLEND!
We hate proprietary blends.
So should you.
A few years ago, every nootropic was a prop blend, and sometimes it was hard to even find the formula before you bought.
You had to buy them through shady websites. There was little information about the manufacturer, and over-charging was common.
But they are absolutely inexcusable in today’s market.
All of the best natural nootropics on sale today show their full formula specs on the label and on the website.
You can see every ingredient’s serving size long before you are expected to fork over money.
Consumers today are wise to the fact that manufacturers use proprietary blends to disguise terrible formulas. They know they use them to keep costs down while still having a formula that looks good on paper (to the uninformed eye at least).
So proprietary blends are dying out. But they’re not dying out fast enough.
Don’t let yourself be ripped off by this ubiquitous and cynical scam. Manufacturers know that formula theft doesn’t happen; 9 times out of 10, they are just using a prop blend to hide the fact that the cheapest ingredient makes up 99.9% of the formula, with the expensive ones thrown in at tiny but detectable quantities.
Even if they are genuinely scared of formula theft, they’re naive and clearly can’t compete. That’s not your problem!
Youthful Brian Ingredients
While all proprietary blends represent bad value for money and should be avoided, not all of them are as bad as each other.
Many are simply poor value, while others are blatant scams.
While Youthful Brain isn’t as much of a blatant scam as some other supplements on the market today, it is still a total rip-off.
Sure, it doesn’t contain any bogus substances or ‘fillers’ like amino acids – things used to bulk out the formula for very little money. All of the ingredients in the prop blend are high quality natural nootropics. They all have a place in a comprehensive brain enhancing stack, and they have all got serious scientific backing.
But the problem is not the ingredients – IT’S THE SIZE!
At just 280mg, the total blend size doesn’t allow for each of them to be dosed properly. Not even close.
That is an absolutely minuscule blend size, even by the paltry standards of cheap brain pills.
For example, take Phosphatidylserine – an excellent supplement known to protect cognitive function int he long-run. To really get good benefits out of using PS, you need to be taking about 100mg of high quality stuff. But that would take up over a third of the total formula, leaving just 180mg to be divided between the remaining ingredients.
Pretty much all of that needs to be taken up by the Bacopa monnieri, depending on the quality of the extract being used.
A hard-hitting, potent, well-dosed nootropic this clearly is not!

Youthful Brain Side Effects
There is actually one major side effect risk with Youthful Brain: the unknown Huperzine A dose.
That is a serious issue.
Huperzine A works by blocking the enzyme acetylcholinesterase. This enzyme is what breaks down and removes acetylcholine from the brain. Acetylcholine is the “learning neurotransmitter”, so when we’re trying to enhance cognition, we generally seek to increase acetylcholine availability. Doing so has been proven in many clinical trials to improve focus, clarity, information processing, and short-term memory function.
However, increasing acetylcholine availability by blocking acetylcholineesterase isn’t a good idea in our opinion.
Acetylcholine can cause problems when there is an excessive build-up, and acetylcholinesterase is the brain’s “release valve”. Disabling the release valve is never a good idea.
That is why Huperzine A needs to be cycled. If you don’t cycle it, you never give your brain a chance to clear out the excess acetylcholine, and side effects occur. The longer you allow the build up to continue, the worse the side effects become.
The side effects of too much acetylcholine include:
- Headaches
- Confusion
- Irritability
- Lack of focus
- Demotivation
- Fatigue
- Brain fog
- Muscle cramps
Now, the real problem here is that we have NO IDEA how much Huperzine A we get in each serving of Youthful Brain.
The likelihood and severity of the side effects listed above depend entirely on dosage.
The way you should cycle Huperzine A also depends on dosage.
The fact we don’t have the information to plan a cycle and avoid side effects is a serious issue.
We aren’t doctors, and this is NOT medical advice.
Every individual is different. All we are doing here is outlining the most obvious side effect risks for the average person. Obviously, your own medical history, pre-existing conditions, and overall health will affect how safe Youthful Brain is for you.
You MUST do your own research and talk to a doctor before using this product!
Don’t try to treat serious cognitive decline with natural supplements. If you think you have a real problem, talk to a doctor – a qualified MD, not some quack chiropractor!
Youthful Brain Review Conclusion – Should You Buy It?
It should be obvious to those of you that read the full review that we do not recommend Youthful Brain to anybody, regardless of what it is that they are looking to achieve.
Whether it’s improved memory function, heightened focus, or just protecting your brain function in the long-run, Vitality Now have failed here.
This is a cheap, weak, under-powered nootropic supplement.
Proprietary blends are to be avoided at all times. They are just a rip-off; a widely accepted scam. Nothing more.
At best, they’re a sign that a manufacturer can’t compete with the big boys who are all happy to share full formula specs.
But this prop blend has specific problems that make it worse than many others on the market today. It’s not the worst – not by a long shot. But it doesn’t get away with a lack of transparency like other stacks can.
Better options are available, regardless of your goals.
We have reviewed hundreds of nootropics and this supplement is still the most impressive. Our review team used this product for months and all experienced:
- Heightened focus
- Enhanced memory function
- More mental energy
- Better mental performance under stress

We think that will depend on where you buy it from. That’s why we don’t discuss prices much on this site; they change too often.

Gary, we have absolutely nothing to do with this company. We just review the products. You can’t purchase anything through our site, and we have nothing to do with orders in any way. If you want to stop an order, you’ll have to contact the company or whoever you ordered from.

Vitality Now Youthful Brain is a scam! I am very disappointed I their customer service. It is very deceiving and do not believe the return policy. They promote to use of it for 3 months to see results but supposedly the return policy is 2 months. A bunch of BS!
