Dream Ease Review Summary
Dream Ease uses the exact same formula as Sleep Sense – and probably a lot of other supplements currently on sale or due to come on sale in the near future. We think formula theft is highly unlikely; we think this formula is probably available for purchase on a ‘private label’ basis. This is where you buy a pre-made formula ‘off the rack’ and just put your own label on the front. Anyone can do this (so long as you have about $5000 seed money, an Amazon account and Photoshop).
The formula itself isn’t bad. It contains some effective ingredients at good doses. But it also contains some dead weight; ingredients that do absolutely nothing to enhance sleep duration, quality, or latency. It goes without saying that you will not be getting good value for money here.
Where To Buy Dream Ease
As with most private label supplements, Dream Ease seems to be sold exclusively through Amazon. The wholesaler probably just drops the bottles off at an Amazon warehouse.
Detailed Dream Ease Review
Dream Ease is a natural sleep aid from Vine Nutrition. These guys have a couple of supplements on sale at the moment, and it looks like they sell exclusively through Amazon. They seem to concentrate on single-ingredient herbal supplements, but they also have a joint support stack and a hair growth booster. And of course, we have Dream Ease; their sleep support stack.
So what is this supplement supposed to do?
What is its unique selling point?
If we look at the bottle, we see that Dream Ease is designed to deliver a core range of benefits:
- Promotes relaxation
- Assists with falling asleep
- Supports restful sleep
Simple, to the point, and ambitious.
This is pretty much everything we look for from a natural sleep supplement. Many people who struggle with their sleeping patterns have problems in all of these areas – they can’t fall asleep on time, their anxiety keeps them awake, and when they do sleep, it’s not very deep.
These issues affect everything from physical health to productivity to mental health.
Natural sleep supplements that reduce sleep latency and promote deep sleep can therefore have an incredible impact on your life.
So if Dream Ease can actually do these simple yet powerful things, then we will have a very useful supplement on our hands.
The key word here is if.
Does Vine Nutrition Dream Ease actually work?
Can it do all of these things without causing side effects?
How does it compare to other stacks on the market today?
In our detailed review below, we analyze the Dream Ease formula in much greater detail. We look at the ingredients, the doses, and the likely side effect risks. We examine how the ingredients work together, and whether or not we think this all adds up to a useful sleep supplement. If you have any questions, please let us know in the comments section at the end.
Vine Nutrition Dream Ease Formula
Here is the Dream Ease formula:
If you’ve been reading through our sleep supplement reviews or been shopping for supplements on Amazon, then you have probably seen this formula before.
We don’t mean a similar formula.
We mean THIS EXACT formula.
For example, check out our recently published Sleep Sense review.
Everything is the same; the doses are IDENTICAL down to the milligram.
Even the layout of the labels is the same!
Clearly, this is not a coincidence.
What’s Going On? – Private Label Supplement System
We think it is extremely unlikely that one of these stacks has just copied their formula from the other. This generally doesn’t happen in the supplement industry.
The fact that they used the same layout, font, etc for the label is a big giveaway – if you were going to rip someone else’s product off, you’d at least mix up the ingredients on the label to try to hide it.
No, we think it is much more likely that the “makers” of Dream Ease have bought this formula on a private label basis.
Private label (or ‘white label’) offering is a service which allows you to buy a generic, unbranded product ready-made and then to apply your own branding. You can call the product your own and call yourself the “manufacturer”.
This is a common set-up in multiple industries: from smartphones to lipstick, you can now buy ready-made products from almost any industry and just slap on your own branding as they roll off the production line.
Now, the private label system is gaining serious momentum in the supplement industry.
As this system takes a generic, generally low quality formula and dresses it up as a unique, premium, custom-formulated supplement, we generally cal these products “scams”.
We’ve written about this at great length in this article, which we urge you to check out.
We strongly recommend avoiding these supplements. The people behind them have never had any involvement with the product. They just buy a batch and supply a pdf for the label. The bottles are produced and labelled at the wholesaler, and then dropped off at Amazon for storage and shipping. Not a premium operation!
What About The Formula?
We have already reviewed this formula at length in our SennaBliss Sleep Sense review.
We think you should check that review out if you want a truly detailed analysis of this formula.
Since we’ve covered it at length before, we’ll just do a quick overview.
Dream Ease provides a very good dose of theanine. Studies have shown that theanine does everything from reducing sleep latency, reducing anxiety, and helping to keep you in a state of deep, restful sleep for longer. The studies showing the best results from theanine supplementation have used 400mg doses – the exact amount we get from Dream Ease.
However, theanine can be obtained naturally. Green tea is a particularly potent source. Drinking decaffeinated green tea is a good way to get theanine naturally before you hit the hay.
There is also some serious dead weight in this formula though. There is no point in supplementing with GABA; it is not digested well, and it does not effectively cross the blood-brain barrier. Supplementation may sound like a good idea, but in reality it doesn’t deliver results. The same can be said of 5-HTP. Other ingredients, such as Mucuna Puriens, have no known sleep enhancing effects.
Final Verdict – Dream Ease – Should You Use It?
Overall, we think Dream Ease will probably work well for a lot of users. The theanine and melatonin content will promote sleep onset and quality.
But two good ingredients do not constitute a quality, powerful stack.
The majority of the formula is composed of useless dead weight.
The ingredients are either not utilized by the body in the way that many people expect (or the way manufacturers want you to believe they are utilized), or they have no known sleep enhancing properties.
Dead weight is never something we are comfortable paying for or putting into our bodies.
All of this is made exponentially worse by the fact that Dream Ease is clearly a private label stack masquerading as a professional-quality sleep supplement.
Don’t fall for it. Use custom-formulated, premium, quality supplements or don’t use them at all!
