Swisse Ultiboost Sleep Review Summary
This is a poor quality sleep supplement. Our overriding issue with Swisse Ultiboost Sleep is quite simply the lack of any robustly proven sleep enhancers. The formula is made up entirely of ingredients that have either never been scientifically proven to work, or that have been resoundingly proven NOT to help with sleep. The only definite sleep aids are magnesium, which is dosed low, and Valerian Root, which is a sub-standard anxiolytic.
Overall, we think this is a low quality, poor value sleeping supplement. Compared to some of the most effective natural sleep aids on the market right now, Swisse Ultiboost Sleep just can’t compete.
Where To Buy Swisse Ultiboost Sleep
Swisse run a dedicated, independent online store. They look like a reputable outfit, so buying direct is the way to go (if you really want to use this rather disappointing sleep aid).
Detailed Swisse Ultiboost Sleep Review
Swisse is a supplement giant. There’s no other way to put it. These guys produce an enormous array of nutritional supplements designed to help with everything from bone and joint health, immune system function, and energy, to skin and hair health.
So what is Swisse Ultiboost Sleep supposed to do?
Who is it designed to help specifically?
According to the official merchant site, Swisse Ultiboost Sleep is a “premium quality formula…which helps to relieve nervous tension and assist natural, restful sleep.”
More specifically, Swisse promise that their natural sleep aid delivers the key, core benefits:
- Relieve tension
- Reduce restlessness at night
- Encourage deep, restful sleep
That is just about everything we would look for from a sleep supplement.
If Swisse Ultiboost Sleep delivers all of these benefits without sedating you, making you feel ‘intoxicated’, or getting you addicted, we’ll have a superb natural sleeping supplement on our hands.
But that’s a big “if”. Many sleep aids are either intoxicating, leaving you feeling groggy, sluggish, and disoriented, or they simply don’t work. Many synthetic sleeping supplements are habit forming, which is even worse!
We only review natural sleep aids, but if there’s any hint of these pitfalls, we make sure you know about it.
So does Swisse Ultiboost Sleep really work?
How does it compare to the best sleep supplements on the market right now?
Is it safe? Is it habit forming?

Swisse Ultiboost Sleep Formula
Let’s take a look at the Swisse Ultiboost Sleep formula:
That’s a disappointing formula, no doubt about it.
Most of these ingredients have never been shown to improve sleep quality, latency, or patterns in any way.
For some of these ingredients, there are no clinical trials, to our knowledge, showing that they do very much of anything.
The only ingredients that stand any chance of helping you get more high quality, restful sleep are either sub-standard or seriously under-dosed.
- Contains Valerian Root
There isn’t a lot to get excited about here, but there are some ingredients in Swisse Ultiboost Sleep which might benefit some users looking for enhanced sleeping patterns.
For instance, each serving gives us 650mg of Valerian Root.
Valerian Root is an anxiolytic, which means that it reduces anxiety. It promotes a feeling of calm, and helps take the edge off stress. Clinical trials have proven that it can help reduce sleep latency, improve quality of sleep, and help you feel refreshed and awake the next day. If you’re finding it hard to get to sleep at night, particularly if it’s due to stress, then Valerian Root might help you.
Most studies showing good benefits from Valerian Root have used around 500mg. We therefore get more than enough in every serving of Swisse Ultiboost Sleep.
We do need to point out, however, that Valerian Root is not the best option for people looking to reduce feelings of stress and anxiety.
Things like Rhodiola Rosea are much better at reducing systemic stress and anxiety.
Something like Tyrosine is a better option for people looking to preserve cognitive function while they’re under intense pressure.
In either case, there is a better option than Valerian Root out there.
- SO MUCH DEAD WEIGHT!
- Good ingredients under-dosed or sub-standard
As stated above, we really aren’t impressed with this supplement.
We’re so unimpressed because, quite frankly, there just aren’t many proven sleep aids in here! Instead, the bulk of the formula is taken up by dead weight – ingredients that provide no benefits whatsoever. Where there are good ingredients, we’re still disappointed!
Aside from the Valerian Root, which is pretty weak as far as anxiolytics go, the only effective sleep enhancer is Magnesium.
Yet instead of the minimum 100mg of Magnesium we look for in modern sleep supplements, we get just 12.8mg.
That is a pathetic dose of magnesium!
There’s pretty much no point supplementing with so little magnesium. The body won’t even realize it’s there.
For such a potentially effective sleep aid, that is seriously disappointing from Swisse Ultiboost Sleep.
The rest of the formula is pretty much all dead weight.
There are no other substances that we think capable of improving the quality or timing of your sleep.
All we have left are useless herbal extracts and a mineral.
And as far as possible, you should avoid paying for or consuming substances that give you absolutely no added benefits. It is a waste of money and you end up with excessive substances in your system…for no reason whatsoever.
Licorice root – does nothing for sleep.
Hops – does nothing for sleep.
Iron – has absolutely no effect on your sleeping patterns, especially not at this dose.
That’s a hell of a lot of dead weight for a sleeping supplement that claims to be “premium”.
Swisse Ultiboost Sleep Side Effects
The Swisse Ultiboost Sleep formula doesn’t look capable of doing very much at all. That’s bad news if you want an effective, potent sleep supplement, but it’s good news as far as side effects are concerned. Every cloud, right?
Like most natural sleep aids, Swisse Ultiboost Sleep doesn’t contain any nasty surprises; there aren’t any synthetic sedatives, pharmaceutical-grade sleep inducers, or drugs of any kind.
There are just natural substances thought to be safe for general human consumption.
However, we aren’t medical doctors, and we can never give a truly exhaustive overview of how every individual will react to a supplement.
We need you to remember the following: It is absolutely vital that you consider your own circumstances, do your own research, and always consult a qualified health professional before using these supplements.

Final Verdict – Swisse Ultiboost Sleep – Is It Any Good?
We wouldn’t recommend Swisse Ultiboost Sleep to anybody looking for a potent, effective, reliable sleep supplement.
We’re sure some of the user reviews are legitimate, but looking at the weak, thin formula, we can’t help but assume that they’re exceptions rather than the rule. Most people will get next to nothing from this sleep aid.
If you are struggling to get enough high quality sleep each night, or you are a business traveler needing to get over jet lag quickly, then Swisse Ultiboost Sleep is probably not what you’re hoping for. There are better options out there.
