Nature’s Way Ginkgold Eyes Review Summary
This is not a half-bad vision enhancer, all things considered. It contains the main, key ingredients we look for in an eye supplement. The doses aren’t bad at all, and all of the most important boxes are ticked. Nature’s Way Ginkgold Eyes looks like it will enhance your visual acuity, improve contrast sensitivity, and protect your eyes from damage over the long-term. It also seems to be extremely unlikely to cause any side effects (for the vast majority of users).
However, it could still be better. We’d like to see more in the way of berry extracts. The 120mg of Bilberry Extract we get from Nature’s Way Ginkgold Eyes just doesn’t cut it. We’d also like to see some saffron, and ideally a bit of astaxanthin. Not bad, but could be better.
Where To Buy Nature’s Way Ginkgold Eyes
Nature’s Way have their own official, independent online store. Their products are also available from Amazon, but we ALWAYS advise you going straight to the manufacturer.
Detailed Nature’s Way Ginkgold Eyes Review
Nature’s Way aren’t exactly a household name, but they are very big players in the health supplement industry because of the sheer number of products they have produced. They make everything from obscure herbal extracts, enzymes, probiotics, vitamins, minerals, and comprehensive stacks.
So what is Nature’s Way Ginkgold Eyes supposed to do?
Who is it designed to help?
The Nature’s Way official website tells us that Ginkgold Eyes is designed to deliver the following key benefits:
- Supports healthy capillaries and micro-circulation
- Helps the eyes adapt to darkness
- Supports the macula
- Helps protect against free radical damage
That’s a really great range of benefits to shoot for. We actually can’t ask for much more from a vision enhancer.
Very few supplements actually go as far as to promise to help with capillary health and circulation in the eyes. This is indeed a major benefit; it will keep your eye cells well oxygenated and ensure that they are actually able to get all of the nutrients you consume in an effort to help them perform. It will have a major effect on eye strain too.
That is if Nature’s Way Ginkgold Eyes can actually do any of these things, that is.
So does it work?
Is it safe?

Nature’s Way Ginkgold Eyes Formula
Check out the Nature’s Way Ginkgold Eyes formula:
That’s quite a good formula overall.
There’s just 4 ingredients, and they’re all proven, effective vision enhancers. There’s no waste or dead weight in here. It also contains the three ingredients that we always look for in natural vision enhancers; three staples that really should form the backbone of any stack.
We think there is some room for improvement here, but things look good on the whole.
Main Strengths
- Good dose of lutein
- Uses zeaxanthin
- High quality Ginkgo biloba extract
Realistically this stack is all strengths. There are things that we would change; things we think we could do to improve it significantly. But there aren’t really any major flaws.
It could be a lot more powerful, but it is still a great vision enhancer.
The best thing we can see is the great dose of lutein.
Lutein is one of the most effective and reliable natural vision enhancers available. Supplementing with lutein has been shown to improve vision in individuals with macular degeneration, help improve eye sight in low light conditions, and even to reduce the chances of getting cataracts.
We think lutein should be in every natural vision enhancer. It stands to benefit everybody, whether your primary concern is help reducing eye strain, improving night vision, or protecting yourself from Acute Macular Degeneration (AMD).
Most studies showing very good results from lutein supplementation have used 10mg per serving; exactly what we get from Nature’s Way Ginkgold Eyes.
It’s also very interesting to see a natural vision supplement that uses Ginkgo Biloba.
As you might expect from a supplement called Ginkgold Eyes, Ginkgo Biloba is the main ingredient here and it is indeed dosed very well.
Ginkgo biloba has nootropic properties, and for those purposes it is normally only consumed in amounts up to and including 120mg per day. There’s no reason why we’d need any more than 120mg to promote eye circulation too.
The quality of the Ginkgo biloba extract used in this supplement is very good as well.
Ginkgo biloba isn’t a particularly powerful vision enhancer, but it will improve blood flow to the head and to the eyes, which will aid with visual function and long-term eye health.
Main Weaknesses
- Berry extract dose could be a lot higher
- Could use some astaxanthin
As we said, there aren’t really any major issues with this stack. But there are some things that we could do to significantly improve Nature’s Way Ginkgold Eyes.
For one thing, the Bilberry Extract serving could be a lot higher for us. Berry extracts of various sorts have a place in a professional, modern vision enhancer.
Select berry extracts, such as Black Currant and Bilberry extracts, provide a range of compounds that have multiple different, substantial, and complimentary effects on eye sight.
Black currants and bilberries are rich in anthocyanins, which have been shown in multiple clinical trials to help with night vision and contrast sensitivity. Amazingly, Black Currant extract has also been shown to help improve eye sight in people living with glaucoma (when used in conjunction with glaucoma medication).
Bilberry extract in particular seems to be great for maintaining healthy rhodopsin levels. This is a compound found in the eyes which is vital for low level light vision. Without enough rhodopsin, you won’t be able to see at night.
This, and the fact that berry extracts are relatively easy (if a little expensive) to source, is why Bilberry Extract is found in so many vision enhancers.
Yet we only get 120mg in Nature’s Way Ginkgold Eyes. That compares very poorly to the 300mg+ of combined berry extracts we get from Performance Lab Vision.
Nature’s Way Ginkgold Eyes Side Effects
We think it is highly unlikely that many users will experience any side effects whatsoever while using Nature’s Way Ginkgold Eyes.
There are only 4 ingredients here, and each one has been used for supplementation purposes for a long time.
They have all been thoroughly studied and are thought to be generally safe for human consumption.
We’ve never seen evidence from a clinical trial that any of these ingredients regularly produce side effects.
The only thing to be a little concerned about is the fact that Ginkgo biloba increases cerebral blood flow. If you have had a stroke, a brain hemorrhage, an aneurysm, or anything else that might be exacerbated by increasing blood flow in the brain, then maybe stay away from this.
But for everyone else, Ginkgo biloba is thought to be safe for even long-term use.
You must remember the following while reading this section: It is absolutely vital that you consider your own circumstances, do your own research, and always consult a qualified health professional before using these supplements.
If you think you have AMD or cataracts, talk to a doctor immediately. Always do your own research! This is not medical advice. All we can do is point out the main side effect risks as we see them; we’re not physicians!
Final Verdict – Nature’s Way Ginkgold Eyes – Worth Buying?
This is a solid vision enhancer, all things considered.
It isn’t the best product for improving eye sight, contrast sensitivity, eye strain, etc.
Nor is it the best for promoting long-term eye health.
But it should work for almost everybody, and it shouldn’t cause side effects in 99.9% of cases.
While there are definitely things we’d improve about Nature’s Way Ginkgold Eyes, there are also lots of things that we couldn’t improve upon. The lutein dose, the quality of the ginkgo biloba used, and the use of zeaxanthin are all major strengths here.
Not the best, but a great stack nonetheless.
