Modafy Review Summary
As explained in our full Modafy review, has quite a simple, straightforward but potent formula, designed to provide a noticeable improvement in focus, clarity and concentration in a relatively short space of time.
Modafy does contain more stimulants than I would want from a daily nootropic stack. However, I think it should prove to be an incredibly effective ‘take as needed’ supplement.
To put it simply, it may not be suitable for some users, but it’s perfect for others. Definitely worth a try if you’re a busy professional or student in need of a quick burst of mental energy and capacity.
Where to buy Modafy
You can get Modafy direct from the manufacturers. They’re based in the UK, but they ship internationally when you buy a “bundle”.
Full Modafy Review
Nooblend are a supplement manufacturing company based in the UK. Modafy is their latest offering.
I got in touch with Nooblend on Twitter and told them I was thinking of doing a Modafy review. Right away, they were very enthusiastic about the idea, and offered to give me all the information I might need to do the review.
Obviously, they’re keen to show off their formula, which is always a good sign.
Nooblend are a company that describe themselves as being “fed up with the lack of quality focus and control” that defines many products on the market today. I certainly feel that way myself, and I know many visitors to this site do as well.
According to Nooblend, Modafy is able to do a number of things in just an hour or two after taking your first dose, including:
- Enhance learning capabilities
- Improve memory and recall
- Increase energy and motivation
- Optimise brain health
That we want these things is not in question. Every nootropic supplement promises to do these things because everyone wants a better performing brain.
The real question is, can Modafy deliver? To find out, we need to take a close look at the formula.
Modafy Ingredients
Modafy’s formula is simple, but it should be incredibly effective.
It’s obvious from looking at the label that this stuff is supposed to be a fast-acting nootropic supplement. Here’s the full ingredient list:
Here’s an overview of the key ingredients and a brief explanation of what they do:
Alpha GPC 50%: Alpha GPC is a choline-containing compound. It is one of the most effective supplements for increasing brain acetylcholine levels in the brain, while the rest of the molecule is thought to help support the structure cellular membranes (being a phospholipid). The 50% simply means that 50% of the dose is actually Alpha GPC, the other 50% being a bulking agent, so Modafy effectively contains 200mg of Alpha GPC.
Phosphatidylserine 20%: Phosphatidylserine is found in very large amounts in brain tissue. It is found naturally in the diet of most people, but supplementing with phosphatidylserine has been shown to have benefits, from preventing mental decline to actively improving cognitive function. Learn more from the ingredients page.
Lion’s Mane: Lion’s Mane is fascinating me at the moment. Some of its active compounds seem to have an enormous amount of potential as nerve growth factor agonists. Having healthy levels of neurotrophic growth factors is vital for maintaining, and optimising, neural function.
L-Theanine: L-Theanine is an amino acid that acts as a relaxant. In this regard it is actually surprisingly potent. Importantly, it does not act as a depressant or a sedative. Rather, it promotes relaxation while facilitating focus and concentration. It is known to act synergistically with caffeine, helping to lessen the negative side effects while promoting the stimulatory, focus-boosting effects.
COQ10: I really don’t know where I stand with Coenzyme Q10. All of our contributors feel the same way. It plays an integral part in the process of energy production within mitochondria. It is therefore absolutely essential for life. If your mitochondria can’t ‘produce’ energy, you can’t live. However, the benefits of supplementing with COQ10 haven’t been established enough for me yet.
Caffeine and Guarana: When we’re talking about guarana, we’re actually really talking about caffeine, so these ingredients can be treated as one in the same. Guarana is a South American climbing plant, the seeds of which are incredibly high in caffeine.

Modafy Formula Review
While supplements that contain a lot of caffeine usually get negative comments on this site, I am actually very impressed with the Modafy formula.
Some supplements that contain a lot of caffeine use it as a crutch. Caffeine will usually feature either as a main ingredient, or as part of a proprietary blend.
It may be too pessimistic of me, but when I see a proprietary blend containing caffeine, I tend to assume it makes up a great deal of the formula. I mean, if (expensive) Alpha GPC made up 50% of the formula, I’m sure manufacturers would want to shout about it.
Some supplements include a lot of caffeine, but not very much in the way of relaxants to help temper the negative effects that come with consuming lots of stimulants.
In my opinion, Modafy has avoided both of these pitfalls.
The makers of Modafy have included a fair bit of caffeine in their formula, but they have made sure that it is neither a main ingredient, and it is complimented with plenty of relaxant in the form of L-Theanine.
The large dose of L-Theanine will help take some of the sting out of the caffeine without taking away from its positive effects, such as increasing focus and reducing fatigue.
More importantly, caffeine definitely plays second fiddle to other ingredients in this formula.
Real cognitive benefits
Caffeine and L-Theanine definitely have a place in a nootropic stack if those ingredients are right for you and your particular needs. I prefer to get all of my caffeine from coffee, but that’s just me.
But neither of those ingredients are going to give us any real, tangible, lasting improvements in cognitive function.
The lasting benefits come from Alpha GPC, phosphatidylserine, and Lion’s Mane extract.
Alpha-GPC has been shown to be a useful treatment for cognitive decline. It is thought that the main way it does this is by conferring choline to the body after oral supplementation. Crucially, Alpha GPC is able to elevate both systemic (body-wide) and brain concentrations of choline.
This choline is used to form acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter responsible for short term memory (amongst other things, and phosphatidylcholine, a major constituent of cellular membranes.
Optimising choline levels is believed to be a reliable and effective way to ensure optimal cognitive performance.
Importantly for us, boosting mental performance in this way is a much more sustainable and long-lasting method than simply plying the brain with stimulants.
Phosphatidylserine and Lion’s Mane extract then help the brain to adapt to and accommodate for this higher level of output.
PS is found in large quantities in the brain, where it is used to form neural tissues of all kinds. It’s effectiveness at improving memory in older people is well established.
Lion’s Mane extract is thought to promote the production of nerve growth factor (NGF). This is vital for ensuring optimal nerve maintenance and regeneration. Obviously, ensuring that your brain can properly form and maintain nerve cells has hugely beneficial consequences for cognition and memory.
Modafy working “both ends”
As you can see, Modafy’s formula seems to work “both ends” of the process.
The brain is given enough choline to ensure that short term memory and mental acuity are as good as they possibly can be. The building blocks of new neural tissue are provided, which in theory allow the brain to adapt to this higher level of output in the long term.
But to kick things off, a big dose of caffeine is provided, coupled with a huge amount of L-Theanine (for a commercial nootropic stack that is) to ensure that you get all of the focus and none of the anxiety or shakiness that comes with large doses of caffeine.
This makes it arguably unsuitable for some users, but it makes it the perfect product for others. It all depends on what you are looking for.
Modafy Side Effects
On the whole, I think Modafy’s formula is unlikely to elicit any side effects in most users.
Obviously, the only real risk of side effects comes from the caffeine content.
Should they occur, these side effects will probably be mild, in part because the negative effects of taking too much caffeine are not exactly serious unless you do it on a daily basis, and in part because the large amount of L-Theanine should counteract things like the jitters and anxiety to a great extent.
Having too much choline in the system is thought to cause depressive symptoms. In my opinion though, the amount of Alpha GPC in Modafy is unlikely to cause any adverse effects.
Modafy Review Conclusion
All things considered, Moday seems to be a really good nootropic supplement.
It is clearly designed for people who have a long and mentally draining day ahead of them. These are people who need a caffeine boost right away, and some deeply effective nootropic substances to keep them razor sharp once the caffeine wears off.
These people will need the focus-boosting effects of caffeine, but they will need it without the jitters.
More than anything, these people need to have their short term memory functioning at 100% well into the night.
Modafy should deliver all of that.
While I personally prefer my daily nootropic stack to be less caffeine-intensive, there are definitely times when a stimulant surge is necessary. There are also plenty of nootropics users out there for whom this much caffeine is nothing.
At the end of the day, you should figure out what works best for you. If you want to optimise function without taking stimulants at the same time, look elsewhere.
If you want a nootropic stack that will work quickly and reliably, producing pretty potent nootropic benefits, then you could certainly do a lot worse than Modafy.
We have reviewed hundreds of nootropics and this supplement is still the most impressive. Our review team used this product for months and all experienced:
- Heightened focus
- Enhanced memory function
- More mental energy
- Better mental performance under stress

What if you were taking modafy with DL-Phenylalamine ??

Hi, nice review!
Why is the inclusion of Bacopa Monnieri a Con? as far as I know it is a great element. In fact, you said so when reviewing MindLabPro.
author says
Modafy doesn’t contain any Bacopa monnieri. The reference to bacopa in the “cons” section says “could use some Bacopa monnieri”, meaning that we think it would be a better supplement if it contained bacopa. But yes you are right, bacopa is a great ingredient, and it is partly what makes MLP so effective.
Hope that helps!

Hello mate,
I ordered based on your review, and I am starting to be concerned, since mymodafy.com still haven’t confirmed shipment (they said “We will email you confirmation once your product has been shipped.” – that was week ago), nor responded to my e-mail…
author says
Hey Oliver,
Cheers for bringing this to our attention. It was a while ago that we reviewed Modafy but we did receive a personal email from the manufacturer after we’d published (basically just saying thanks for the review and offering us merch). We’ll send one to that address on your behalf and see what’s happening.
If we don’t get a response we’ll take the review down immediately.
Oliver Rýdzi says
Thanks a lot! You’ve done really great job with those reviews by the way, I am just sad how this is looking for me 🙁
Oliver Rýdzi says
I will just update this, 2 weeks later still nothing . No response, no product.
author says
Hey Oliver.
Thanks for the update.
I’ll ask the person who sent the email but to my knowledge we’ve had nothing back either.
We’ll try again and update our top 3 accordingly. This is really strange as the product hasn’t really been around for very long. We’ve just had a look on Twitter and the account hasn’t really been updated in a long time. Looks like we’ll be taking this product off our rankings!
Oliver Rýdzi says
Hello! I bring update – I just got my money refunded! Not the outcome I was hoping for when I purchased the product, however I wasn’t expecting anything at this point.
Thanks for all your help, I really think I wouldn’t see my money if it wasn’t for you 🙂

Having recently purchased Modafny I have been pleasantly surprised with the results I have tried various nootropics on the market over the last few years and this is one of the best so far , my place of purchase was through Amazon it arrived within 24 hrs , I was also contacted by Nooblend regarding the satisfaction I portrayed for the product, a business always wins my approval when they take into consideration the after sales element of there product with a passion. Modafny does what he says it does .
NaturalNootropic Team says
Hi Lee.
That’s great to hear. Thanks for sharing your experience with us.
Modafy is indeed one of the best nootropics we’ve come across on paper. We haven’t had many comments from Modafy users, but it’s good to see that its strength on paper plays out in the real world.
You’re also right that a business which takes pride in its product is always deserving of your money over a business that clearly doesn’t care. We actually take that into account when judging nootropics. We can’t give it a numerical value, but when a manufacturer clearly doesn’t care if the product survives, we tend to care less about their promises.
Thanks again for getting involved Lee.

Hello All,
I thought I would step in here and introduce myself.
My name is Richard and I am the founder of Modafy. I would like to confirm that Modafy is still indeed for sale and the website is operational. We recently had some issues with our payment processor and a bug in the site which is now fixed.
I apologise to any customers who encountered issues with their order. If they would like to contact me, I am happy to send a free bottle out as a courtesy for any inconvenience caused! We have sold thousands of bottles of Modafy on Amazon with a long line of happy customers 🙂
I am opening free to contact at all times via my website.
Thank you to Natural Nootropic for the review and the kind words.
Thanks!
NaturalNootropic Team says
Thanks for clearing that up Richard.
We’ll get a tweet out about this now and amend our earlier replies shortly.

I’ve got one question to do with the caffeine.
I bought Modafy recently and honestly it’s an amazing product, but I was wondering if I take it everyday will I begin to get a tolerance to the Caffeine making the product less effective?
NaturalNootropic Team says
Hey Josh thanks for commenting.
Yes that will happen. People develop a tolerance for caffeine over time; no doubt about that. It doesn’t happen as quickly as other drugs (even though caffeine is very strong).
However, we don’t think that’s really a massive problem here. You don’t really need to keep getting a palpable boost from Modafy. You just need a small amount of caffeine to keep you going while the other ingredients get to work on your other cognitive functions.
Think of it like this; after a few years, your morning cup of coffee stops having such a powerful effect, but you still need it before you can even think about heading to the office. Get where we’re coming from there?
Of course, if you are really concerned about this maybe dose your caffeine as needed with drinks (tea and coffee) and use a stack that doesn’t contain any caffeine at all.

WOW this is exactly what I’ve been looking for!
Thought I should leave a comment as I’m really impressed with modafy..
Its only my second day of taking them, but I have been taking lots of other supplements with some of these ingredients in the past.. but what I like about these is that I only need these and a few other essential vitamins/minerals etc…fish oils etc.
It’s not that I know they are good for my brain, but I literally feel myself “coming up” lol on these, but in a nice way, not at all over stimulating…kind of like all the positive side affects of stims, but obviously feeding my brain at the same time.
So thanks for an exellent product, and I will be telling everyone about these!!

Just received my first bottle today. I work in a busy sales environment and although I’ve tried Nootropics before, it was only the odd one or two here and there without much of a noticeable effect. My colleague and I are going to try these first to see if it gives us the edge we are looking for and I’ll report back here in a week or so.
