Bulletproof Eye Armor Review Summary
This is not a bad vision enhancer at all. Bulletproof is an extremely well-known brand now. Dave Asprey has worked hard to build his brand’s reputability, and he clearly isn’t going to risk throwing it away by producing cheap, scam supplements. Eye Armor delivers a handful of quality ingredients in good doses. These should work together to enhance various aspects of eye health and function. The thing we like most about this stack is the use of lutein, zeaxanthin, and astaxanthin. Too few stacks go all in on these ingredients.
However, Eye Armor goes too light on the Bilberry Extract. We think you should go heavy on berry extracts; 300mg of a good blackcurrant or bilberry extract per serving as a minimum. This stack could also use some saffron to really make it something special. Overall though, a quality vision enhancer.
Where To Buy Bulletproof Eye Armor
We recommend buying Eye Armor from the Bulletproof online store. This will give you a little more protection as a consumer. Dave Asprey is no con-artist.
Detailed Bulletproof Eye Armor Review
If you’re interested in nootropics, performance optimization, or overall human enhancement, then you have probably come across Bulletproof before. Dave Asprey was one of the first major influencers in this space; he founded Bulletproof to push his coffee product, which supposedly enhances cognitive performance a lot more than regular coffee.
So what is Eye Guard supposed to do?
Who is it designed for?
Bulletproof Eye Armor is part of the brand’s “fortify” range. These products all aim to enhance your performance by providing key nutrients that you may either be lacking, or which give you huge benefits in and of themselves.
If we look at the official website, we see that this vision enhancer is designed to deliver the following specific benefits:
- Strengthen and protect your vision
- Reduce glare sensitivity (no more squinting)
- Enhance night vision and contrast sensitivity
- Increase visual performance and acuity
- Defend against junk light
Dave’s use of “junk light” refers to the blue light that our screens expose us to all day long (and for most of us, all night long too). This is clearly very important for Bulletproof. The merchant page for Eye Armor makes repeated references to “eye health for the digital age”.
This all sounds great.
For most of us, the biggest source of eye damage is digital screens. We spend all day working at a computer, and we spend a lot of our downtime staring at our smartphones.
The only time way from screens for many of you will be when you’re outside exercising. But here again you’re getting exposed to blue light from the sun.
So if Bulletproof Eye Armor can actually give us, well, some much needed eye armor, then this will be a great supplement for protecting eye function going forward.
We just need to find out if it can actually do any of this stuff.
Can Bulletproof Eye Armor both strengthen and protect your vision?
Is it safe for long-term use?
How does it compare to the best natural vision enhancers on the market today?

Bulletproof Eye Armor Formula
Here is the Bulletproof Eye Armor formula:
Right away we can tell we’re dealing with a high quality vision enhancer.
All we see are proven, effective, natural, vision enhancing substances.
There’s no dead weight, no fluff – just straight up, scientifically proven substances which protect your eyes and enhance their function.
- Scientifically-proven ingredients
- Uses highly potent ingredients
- No dead weight
There’s a lot that we love about this stack. We could talk about several different aspects of this vision enhancer that we think make it great, but we need to limit ourselves to the most important and interesting strengths.
To be very general, we think the minimalism and restraint of this stack is its biggest strength. It contains absolutely no dead weight, no fluff, no fillers. Just highly potent, effective ingredients with real scientific backing.
There are just 5 ingredients here, and every single one of them contributes something significant to improved eye health and performance.
For example, we 4mg of Astaxanthin in Eye Armor.
Astaxanthin is an incredibly powerful vision enhancer. It has been shown to reduce eye strain, which makes it an incredibly useful supplement for programmers. It has also been shown to improve accommodation amplitude, which is of great benefit to people who spend a lot of time staring at screens.
There is some evidence to suggest that astaxanthin improves eye performance by improving choroidal blood flow. More research is needed here, but it is extremely encouraging.
The amount of astaxanthin in Eye Armor is more than enough for people to enjoy these benefits over the long term. If it was a single ingredient stack, then we would probably want to see more.
But coupled with Lutein and Zeaxanthin, 4mg of Astaxanthin is plenty. It is one of the best natural vision enhancers out there, and sadly, one of the most under-utilized.
- Missing some key ingredients
- Bilberry extract low doses
This is really splitting hairs. The fact that a stack could contain some extra ingredients which would make it better – that’s not really a weakness.
Every single stack doesn’t need to contain every single effective vision enhancer in order to be good.
You can still produce an incredible cost-effective, powerful stack without using every proven vision enhancer in existence.
But it still needs to be said that other stacks on the market right now provide all of the benefits of Bulletproof Eye Armor AND MORE. What’s more, they provide added benefits for a very similar price.
There’s no saffron in here, for example.
There’s no blackcurrant extract.
Not big deal, but other stacks do provide lutein, zeaxanthin, etc., as well as the likes of saffron and blackcurrant extract.
We’re also pretty underwhelmed by the bilberry extract dose.
There are several berry extracts which make enormous contributions to eye health.
Blackcurrant, blueberries, and bilberry fruit all contain various compounds which significantly improve visual acuity, protect the eye from damage, and reduce eye strain.
We think most vision enhancers should go heavy on berry extracts; we’re talking hundreds of milligrams per serving. We think this because, let’s face it, none of us are eating lots of berries on a daily basis.
Yet we only get 80mg of bilberry extract per serving. This would be fine if coupled with, say, 200mg of Blackcurrant Extract, or maybe 300mg of Blueberry Extract. But we don’t have that here.
Final Verdict – Bulletproof Eye Armor – Should You Buy It?
This is a top quality natural vision enhancer.
It contains nothing but tried and true eye support substances.
There’s no filler, no dead weight, and no over-hyped, under-performing ingredients. All we have are effective, potent vision enhancers. Most important for us is the fact that all of the ingredients in Bulletproof Eye Armor, ALL OF THEM, are backed by robust, independent scientific studies.
We think most people will get great benefits from this stack; visual acuity, long-term eye function, glare recovery, eye strain – every box is ticked here for us.
The only downsides are the low dose of Bilberry Fruit Extract – this is actually pretty damn low compared to the berry extract doses we get in other stacks.
Bulletproof Eye Armor is also missing some key ingredients that separate the good stacks from the exceptional eye supplements. Overall though, a great vision enhancer. We wouldn’t hesitate to use it.
