BrainEffect Focus Review Summary
This is a top quality natural nootropic supplement. BrainEffect Focus is without question one of the most potent focus enhancers we’ve ever reviewed on this site. But it doesn’t just increase focus; it supports long-term brain health, memory function, and mental energy. All in all, it’s a pretty comprehensive brain supplement. It provides good value for money and side effects will be minimal.
However, there are several ways that it could be improved. For one thing, it contains some serious dead weight. We don’t get any added benefits from some of the ingredients in BrainEffect Focus, but we’re still paying for them. We also don’t know how potent some of these extracts are; they could turn out to be very weak! Better, more economical nootropics are available, but BrainEffect Focus is a great product.

Full BrainEffect Focus Review
BrainEffect is a supplement brand based in Germany. They are currently one of the fastest growing brain supplement brands in Europe. Their products are not very well known right now, but they are quickly gaining quite a following among nootropic enthusiasts. They have plenty of positive reviews online, and it looks like that is only going to continue going forward.
So what is this supplement supposed to do?
Who is it designed for exactly?
If we look at the BrainEffect website, we see that Focus is designed to deliver the following core cognitive enhancements:
- Increased concentration
- Improved cognitive abilities
- Improved working memory
- Faster reaction times
- Mental energy without side effects or crashes
These are exactly the kinds of things we want to see delivered by a natural nootropic supplement.
With regards to working memory, the merchant page has this to say: “The intelligent nutrient formula of ginkgo, CDP choline, and pantothenic acid helps you maintain…the ability to effectively process information such as names and responsibilities”.
This all sounds great to us.
If we find a product able to increase concentration spans, improve working memory, and help reduce brain fatigue, then we will be very happy indeed.
If you’re a busy professional or a college student, these are exactly the kinds of things you need help with on a regular basis. A natural way to make your life easier would be worth its weight in gold.
But we’ve heard all this before.
Hundreds of supplements claim to be able to do all of this; only a handful actually can.

BrainEffect Focus Formula Analysis
Let’s take a look at the BrainEffect Focus ingredients:
That is one potent formula.
A quick glance is all we needed to see that this stack packs a serious punch.
We have a HUGE dose of CDP-Choline, a generous Ginkgo biloba serving, and some Bacopa monnieri to round things off.
There are some ingredients in here that we don’t believe to be nootropics. We hate paying for dead weight, so that is a bit of a disappointment.
But we can forgive some dead weight when the rest of the formula is so well dosed.
A more serious limitation is the lack of any antioxidants, or anything to promote physical brain growth and development.
However, this is a high quality nootropic overall. Users will experience a rapid, noticeable increase in focus, concentration, and mental clarity. Your ability to process and hold information will be significantly improved, as will memory recall speed.
Value for money could be better, but the safety and potency of this stack make up for this.
What We Like
- Very generous CDP-Choline dose
- Plenty of Ginkgo biloba
There are lots of positives here that we could talk about, but we’re going to focus on what we see as the two biggest strengths of BrainEffect Focus.
Without doubt, the thing that pulls us to this product most is the very large CDP-Choline dose.
CDP-Choline, or Citicoline, is easily our favorite cholinergic.
For those of you who don’t know, a cholinergic is a substance which confers choline to the brain. The brain then uses this choline to create acetylcholine, which is a neurotransmitter involved in several vital cognitive processes – memory formation, information processing, recall, and muscle contraction.
By rapidly increasing the amount of choline available in the brain for acetylcholine synthesis, CDP-Choline directly brings about greater concentration, better short-term memory function, and faster reaction times.
Most supplements using CDP-Choline use somewhere between 150mg and 300mg per daily serving. That is all you need to enjoy the full benefits of this incredible nootropic.
Well, BrainEffect Focus gives us 500mg per serving. That is 60% more than some of the most potent and effective natural brain stacks on the market right now.
To make this even better, the formula also provides 100mg of Ginkgo biloba.
This humble leaf has some astounding nootropic properties.
Through various mechanisms, Ginkgo biloba expands the blood vessels in your brain. Your veins and capillaries dilate, allowing more blood to flow through them. This in turn means more oxygen and nutrients being delivered to your brain cells.
The end result should be obvious: a healthier, more functional, more efficient brain.
We really like to see Ginkgo Biloba added to stacks, regardless of what it is they are specifically trying to achieve. The more efficient your cerebral circulation, the more effective brain supplements will be!
The 100mg of Ginkgo we get from BrainEffect Focus is more than you need to get everything out of this popular cognitive enhancer. It compliments the rest of the supplement well.
What We Don’t Like
- We don’t know the Bacopa monnieri dose
- Panax Ginseng offers few nootropic benefits
- Low dose of ALCAR pretty pointless
Although we are happy with this formula overall, there are some things which could be changed to produce a much better supplement.
For example, we would prefer to be told the potency of the Bacopa monnieri extract being used here.
Bacopa monnieri is a reliable, effective, powerful memory enhancer.
It is used in many natural brain supplements today, and for a very good reason. It stands to benefit almost anybody looking to improve their memory recall speed and retention.
Several scientific studies have shown that Bacopa monnieri supplementation helps with memory formation and recall in older people, especially those suffering from mild age-related cognitive decline.
A smaller yet substantial number of studies have shown that it can help improve memory function and verbal learning in young, healthy people as well. It is well tolerated and highly reliable across users, making it one of the best natural nootropics in existence (in our opinion).
However, there’s a problem here. As with most of these things, it isn’t the whole Bacopa plant we’re interested in. All of the benefits cited above come from a group of compounds in Bacopa monnieri called Bacosides. Everything else in Bacopa monnieri is just dead weight to us.
Usually, supplements will tell you how much of the Bacopa extract is bacosides – sometimes it’s 20%, sometimes it’s as high as 50%. In some cases, specific bacosides have been isolated.
This helps us determine how effective a stack is likely to be. 150mg of Bacopa monnieri with 45% bacosides is going to be more effective than 200mg of which 20% is bacosides.
BrainEffect Focus doesn’t give us an extract strength, which is really worrying. It is a major selling point. So if it is really good, you’d think they’d want to share that information.
Another big problem with BrainEffect Focus is the fact that it contains ingredients that don’t really do anything for your cognitive function.
For example, each serving of this stack contains Panax Ginseng.
As far as we’re aware, there is absolutely no reason to believe that this plant root has any influence over mental performance at all.
There aren’t any studies showing that Panax Ginseng supplementation – in any quantity – helps with focus, concentration, memory, energy levels, or anything else for that matter.
This stuff doesn’t even have substantial anecdotal backing. You won’t find many forums posts or health bloggers talking about this stuff as a real cognitive enhancer.
We don’t like paying for ingredients that don’t give us any added benefits. Neither should you!
Is BrainEffect Focus Safe?
Many of you will be wondering whether BrainEffect Focus is likely to cause side effects or not.
In our opinion, this is a very safe supplement, even for long-term use.
All of the ingredients used in this stack are well tolerated.
They have all been thoroughly studied in the context of human supplementation, and none have ever been found to pose a serious risk to human health. Germany has some tight regulations on what can and cannot be used in supplements – much tighter regulation than in the US.
When side effects do occur, they are typically very mild.
These are common ingredients used in hundreds (if not thousands) of supplements around the world today.
While we can’t ever tell you whether or not a supplement is definitely safe for you, we can say that in our opinion the majority of users will experience few ill effects from this nootropic.
It is absolutely crucial that you remember the following facts while reading this section: You must do your own research and make draw your own conclusions. All we are doing here is presenting our opinion based on our own research and our experiences. To stay safe, you MUST talk to a qualified health professional before using any of these supplements, regardless of how safe we think they look. Everyone is different, and you all have your own individual medical histories which must be considered.

BrainEffect Focus Review Conclusion – Is It Worth The Money?
As far as we’re concerned, this supplement is well worth the price tag.
It provides a massive dose of CDP-Choline – more than you will get from 99% of products on the market – combined with a very generous dose of Ginkgo biloba, some Bacopa monnieri, and some B12.
Together, these ingredients can deliver all of the benefits listed on the official website; enhanced focus, better memory function, faster recall speeds, and more.
Yes, there are problems.
We don’t know how potent the Bacopa monnieri extract is; we don’t need Panax Ginseng.
Perhaps the biggest limitation is the fact that there isn’t anything to support brain cell maintenance, promote neuron growth, and so on.
There is a lot missing from the formula.
Yet it remains a high quality natural nootropic.
If you’re looking for a way to safely and naturally improve your ability to focus, take in information, and utilize it effectively, then this supplement might be just what you’re looking for. The price tag is definitely justified.
