Bayberg Brain Booster Review Summary
This is another addition to the already long list of supplements using exactly the same formula. We have reviewed several products with identical formulas already, and we keep finding more. It is fast becoming a serious problem on Amazon.
These brands are buying a cheap, weak, ‘off-the-rack’ formula from a manufacturer and simply paying for them to apply their custom branding afterwards. The formulas are full of useless ingredients that offer no cognitive benefits. Fulfillment is then outsourced to Amazon. The brands invest minimal money, have no involvement in production or delivery, and just collect their profit off the top. The loser in this arrangement is always the customer, who pays over the odds for a low-grade product.
Where To Buy Bayberg Brain Booster
Most of these duplicated stacks are sold on Amazon so the “manufacturers” don’t have to deal with delivery.
Full Bayberg Brain Booster Review
Bayberg Brain Booster is sold as an “anti-ageing, physician-formulated nootropic”.
It is regularly listed on the first few pages of Amazon when searching for nootropics. This is no doubt why it receives such steady interest from people eager to gain an edge at work, on the field, or in school.
What does Bayberg Brain Booster claim to do?
According to Bayberg.com, Brain Booster is a “100% All Natural Nootropic & Premium Brain Booster”.
We are told that it is “The Best Cognitive Stimulator and Neuronal Enhancer”, and that it provides “Special Synaptic Power for Memory & Focus.”
This all means very little.
The product bottle itself gives us some more concrete expectations. It says that Bayberg Brain Booster:
- Boosts memory
- Improves concentration
- Stimulates cognitive function
That’s all well and good, but every focus and memory supplement claims to give us these things. They wouldn’t be nootropics if they didn’t!
The real question is, are these words just marketing hype, or are they true?
Can Bayberg Brain Booster really enhance memory function? Can it improve focus?
Is it really the best product on the market for achieving these things?
Let’s find out. First we’ll take a closer look at the Bayberg Brain Booster formula, before moving on to what other people have been saying about this stuff. Finally, we’ll tell you if we’d recommend this product to you or not.
Bayberg Brain Booster Formula
Here is the Bayberg Brain Booster ingredients list. We took this from screenshot of the label:
Bayberg Brain Booster Proprietary Blend
As you can see, the actual nootropic portion of this product is a proprietary blend.
This blend is 692mg in total, and contains more than 20 ingredients. This gives each ingredient an average serving size of just over 30mg.
We don’t need to tell most of you how pathetically small that is.
No, the formula wont be divided up in this way. Different ingredients need different serving sizes.
Yet this does show you how unbelievably weak this formula is. For any ingredient to be dosed above 30mg, another ingredient needs to have their dosage reduced, bringing it under 30mg.
And for the vast majority of the ingredients in Bayberg Brain Booster, the ideal serving size is over 100mg. For some ingredients, the minimum effective dosage is way, WAY over 100mg.
Take choline bitartrate for example.
Most high quality stacks will use a cholinergic of higher potency than choline bitartrate. Yet some stacks do use it, and it can deliver good results.
But in order to really derive any benefit from choline bitartrate supplementation, you need to use 300mg or more. Some professional quality nootropics have been known to use more than 400mg per serving.
If it were dosed properly, that would leave 292mg between 20 ingredients, or 14mg per ingredient.
This just isn’t workable. It is mathematically impossible for all of the useful ingredients to be dosed how they need to be to help enhance cognitive function.
To make matters worse (as if they needed to be), the Bayberg Brain Booster formula is full of ineffective, over-hyped, impotent ingredients.
While some of these have been touted recently as wonder-herbs, they offer next to no real value in terms of cognitive enhancement, energy, or even overall health.
Take Bilberry Fruit for example.
We have tried to find some, but there doesn’t seem to be a single shred of evidence that this stuff helps with focus, memory, brain health, or with anything else for that matter.
The same is true of Olive Leaf, Licorice Root Extract, and several other ingredients in Bayberg Brain Booster.
With such little space to go around in this stack, you have to wonder why these ingredients have been squeezed in. In our (cynical) opinion, we think it’s because the manufacturer simply had a lot of these things lying around and they needed to get rid of them.
Bacopa monnieri, DMAE, and Huperzine A are all expensive. It would be easy to include these things in trace amounts, and then to bulk out the formula with the stuff you need to get rid of. You get to keep costs down while telling the customers that they are getting all of these amazing ingredients.
This brings us onto our next section: DUPLICATE FORMULAS!
Yet Another Duplicate Formula!
That’s right, this is yet another formula which is identical to several other supplements currently being sold on Amazon.
We are still surprised every time we stumble across one of these products, which seems to be more and more frequently. This is becoming a real problem with Amazon; one that needs addressing before too many customers get landed with low-quality, over-priced, ineffective nootropics.
Let us show you what we mean.
Here is the BioScience Brain Boost formula:
And here is the formula for Goodlife Nutrition’s Neuro Focus:
As you can see, these formulas are absolutely identical.
They are the same down to the last milligram.
So what’s going on here?
Bayberg is clearly another “brand” (or more likely, single person) employing the “Amazon Method” to make some quick money online.
We have written about this private label scam already, so we advise you to read the cited article if you want to learn more.
We’ll just briefly say that these duplicated formulas are all coming from the same wholesaler. People are just buying these low quality, generic stacks from a ‘white label’ supplier and then attaching their branding afterwards.
Don’t waste money on these supplements; read our article and opt to use your money wisely. If you think a nootropic can benefit you, then buy a professional quality, comprehensive stack which uses quality, proven ingredients.
Bayberg Brain Booster Side Effects
It is always important to consider the side effect risks of any nootropic supplement, and Bayberg Brain Booster is no different.
Most natural nootropics are safe; certainly in comparison to their synthetic “smart drug” counterparts.
Yet no supplement is completely safe. Particularly supplements like Bayberg Brain Booster which contains a mystery cocktail of unusual herbal extracts.
You will not be used to consuming these ingredients, let alone in a concentrated, extract form.
You have no idea how much of each ingredient is in each serving, so it is impossible to predict side effects with any degree of accuracy.
Our advice would be to show the ingredients list to your doctor before proceeding so they can throw up any red flags that might be in the formula which are particular to you; your allergies, your sensitivities, your risk factors.
Bayberg Brain Booster Review Conclusion
Bayberg Brain Booster is just another terrible, low-quality, rip-off supplement using a mass-produced, ‘off-the-rack’ formula.
There are so many products using this exact formula being sold on Amazon right now that it’s hard to keep up with the reviews.
Wherever these guys are getting this formula from is beyond us, but the manufacturer must be offering a seriously low price for so many people to jump on the bandwagon.
Over time, these products disappear from Amazon, but new ones spring up with the same formula over and over again. It may even be the same group of individuals behind all of them.
What’s for certain is that they offer no value for money. They simply cannot deliver the benefits the various manufacturers say that they will. The tiny blend size and the over-use of garbage ingredients ensures that.
All of these supplements claim to be unique, powerful, and effective. They are all wrong. Bayberg Brain Booster is no different.
